Dental X-Rays
X-rays are an important tool that enables us to help keep your child’s mouth perfectly healthy. The images, which are taken digitally, give us a glimpse of the spaces between your child’s teeth, their tooth roots, and their developing jawbone. We are also able to see and monitor the growth and development of adult teeth. X-rays help us to detect hidden cavities, infections, developmental defects, and potential alignment issues. This allows us to address issues that might otherwise go unnoticed right away to prevent more significant effects.
In our office, your child’s x-rays are done using digital x-ray technology. With digital x-ray technology, the amount of radiation exposure is much less than traditional film x-rays. This makes them much safer for your child, and give us the images of your child’s mouth instantly. This helps to keep the appointment shorter, and your child can also get a glimpse at their teeth and jawbone on an enlarged screen.
